The province Guaviare is located in the region between the Orinoco and the Amazon. The cultural heritage and the nature are living elements of the society, protected by a constant interest of the population to pass it on to new generations. Due to its special position, imbedded between the veld of the Llanos and the beginning of the rain forest, Guaviare offers a spectacular landscape and a unique nature. Waterfalls, extraordinary rock formation, caves and dreamlike lagoons which invite for bathing.
Transfer Bogotá to the hotel Las Palmas in San José de Guaviare. After arrival, visit of the „City of stones“, an extraordinary place with naturally built rock formations, caves and corridors. Afterwards visit of the „tunnels“, a unique cave with a vast biological diversity and two natural swimming pools. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight-stay.
After breakfast, ride to the „Door of Orión“, an enormous stone with a height of 12 m and a semi-circular ground plan of 15 m length. The entrances at both ends lead through mazes and caves.
